Kid Gloves Boxing

Kid Gloves Boxing operates out of Suite 190 at 1555 Simi Town Center Way in Simi Valley, California. The boxing gym conducts community-oriented pugilistic training, youth development, and fitness workouts for students of all ages. The program traces its roots to founder Frankie Goodman in the mid-1950s, who later transferred the trademark rights to Robert Ortiz. Ortiz launched Kid Gloves Boxing in Simi Valley in the 1990s, opening a dedicated facility in November 1997. Coaching is led by Robert Ortiz Sr., Robert Ortiz Jr., and coach Victor Menendez, who brings nearly four decades of fighting background in boxing and Muay Thai. The gym features a USA Boxing amateur boxing team, boxing classes for kids, boxing for adults, and senior boxing. Training also includes evening kickboxing sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays, along with non-contact boxing workouts tailored for military veterans.
