Kihon MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Kihon MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial arts school serving Desert Hot Springs and the Coachella Valley region. The academy emphasizes well-rounded martial education, deriving its name from the Japanese concept for basics and fundamentals. Instruction is guided by Sensei and Professor Eddie Bates, who brings 24 years of martial arts study, tournament competition, and cage coaching experience to the mats. Classes are hands-on and incorporate traditional Japanese katas alongside Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, judo, karate, and Muay Thai kickboxing. The academy provides training programs for students ages 4 to 65, including Little Ninja classes for young children, intermediate youth tracks, adult gi jiu-jitsu, and no-gi submission wrestling. Students also have access to competitive cage team training and private personal coaching.
