Kioto BJJ Southwest

Operating in Chandler, Arizona, Kioto BJJ Southwest delivers traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction adhering to the system established by Grand Master Francisco Mansor in 1965. The academy maintains a selective onboarding environment focused on disciplined practice, character development, and foundational grappling techniques. Instruction is directed by founders Professor Joe Lutrario and Professor Elizabeth Lutrario, both second-degree black belts instructing the Kioto methodology. Professor Joe Lutrario, a former police officer with the NYPD, has also developed specialized jiu-jitsu training programs to support military veterans. The academy provides youth gi classes, adult jiu-jitsu sessions, and personal evaluations with the owners prior to enrollment. Eligible families can apply E.S.A. funds toward youth tuition, while qualifying veterans can access tuition assistance through military veteran programs.
