Koei Kan Karate-Santa Barbara

Academy of Koei-Kan Karate-Do is located at 1427 San Andres Street in Santa Barbara, California. The dojo teaches traditional Japanese Koei-Kan Karate-Do, providing martial arts training for children, teens, and adult practitioners. Programs include traditional karate classes, youth karate, women karate, kick boxing, and wrestling instruction conducted with South Coast Wrestling. Instruction features Sensei Tony Becerra, a sixth-degree black belt with over thirty-six years of teaching martial arts at the academy. Sensei Becerra is joined by Sensei Kim Becerra, who began training in Koei-Kan karate in 1996, and Sensei Miguel Brito, an assistant instructor who started his training in 2012. The instructors emphasize discipline, etiquette, and character development through traditional martial arts practice.
