Koulikov Grappling Academy

Koulikov Grappling Academy operates at 2001 W. Trenton Road, Suite 104 in Edinburg, Texas. The academy was founded by head coach Vlad Koulikov, an accomplished combat athlete who placed three times at the USA Open and represented Team USA in Combat Sambo on the international stage. Koulikov brings decades of competition experience and cross-disciplinary expertise to the training facility. The academy provides instruction across complementary grappling and striking systems. Coursework combines Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu positional strategy, joint submissions, and escapes with Sambo throwing techniques and ground control. Students also train in traditional judo throws and kickboxing striking fundamentals. Youth classes in kids jiu-jitsu teach practical self-defense, body awareness, and athletic coordination in an active, supportive setting. Private one-on-one coaching sessions are also available for practitioners seeking individualized technical development.
