Kugtar Mixed Martial Arts

Kugtar Mixed Martial Arts Academy is located at 339 Maple St in Salinas, California. Established in 1995, the family-built academy has delivered combat sports instruction across three decades, teaching technique, character, and community values to local children, teens, and adult students through persistent repetition. The curriculum combines traditional disciplines with modern training across six primary offerings. Students train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Tang Soo Do, Muay Thai, Eskrima, kids mixed martial arts, and competition preparation, developing foundational grappling skills alongside striking combinations. Jiu-jitsu training centers on takedowns, positional control, escapes, and submission holds, with morning and evening sessions scheduled throughout the week. Prospective students begin their martial arts training journey through an observation and evaluation process before joining regular team practice.
