Kuleana Jiu-Jitsu

Kuleana Jiu-Jitsu is a martial arts academy located at 1133 Sonora Ct in Sunnyvale, California. Established in 2022, the school delivers high-quality instruction in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai, cultivating a dedicated family environment for martial artists in the Sunnyvale community. Instruction is guided by co-founder Darren S. Ogasawara, an adult and kids BJJ instructor, black belt from the Ralph Gracie lineage, and medalist in IBJJF Worlds and Pan championships. Training emphasizes leverage, positional control, and strategic submission holds in both gi and no-gi grappling formats. The academy offers a full schedule of classes running seven days a week for all experience levels. Program pathways include adult and youth BJJ, Muay Thai kickboxing, and dedicated women's gi and women's no-gi classes designed to provide an empowering, judgment-free training space.
