Lake County Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Lake County Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu provides martial arts education and submission grappling training at 108 Terrace Dr in Mundelein, Illinois. Established in 2014, the academy delivers structured martial arts instruction for children, adolescents, and adult practitioners across Mundelein and surrounding communities. The academy was founded by head instructor Coach Carlos, a second-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under world champion Leo Vieira and an Army Reserve veteran who began his grappling journey in 2005. Instruction is co-directed by Patty, an operations manager and black belt under Carlos who began training in 2011, focusing on technical precision, positional control, and consistent student advancement. Course programming encompasses beginner through advanced adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai striking, and a structured youth martial arts curriculum with classes divided for children ages 5 to 7 and ages 8 to 12.
