Melvin Revilla Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy USA is located in Bothell, WA. The academy is led by Professor Melvin Revilla, who serves as head instructor and has held the rank of black belt since 2001. Melvin Revilla began training in 1988 in Manaus, Brazil, focusing on discipline and self-control. During his years in Manaus, Melvin Revilla trained under instructors including Professor Falabella, the Monteiro brothers, and Cássio Façanha, before earning his black belt from Master Paulo Coelho in 2001. His training was influenced by figures including Rickson, Royce, and Royler Gracie, developing a style centered on control, pressure, and efficiency. He led the Melvin Revilla Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team for nearly two decades in gi and No-Gi competition. In 2017, Professor Melvin won gold at the IBJJF Seattle Open in the Masters 3 division before founding Melvin Revilla Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy in Bothell, WA.
