Mid-America Martial Arts (MAMA)

Mid-America Martial Arts (MAMA) has served the Omaha metropolitan community since 2003 from its training facility at 14951 Chandler Road in Omaha, Nebraska. The academy maintains over two decades of grappling pedagogy, providing structured instruction across adult and youth disciplines for both recreational students and competitive athletes. The grappling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu program runs on a rotating technical curriculum covering both gi and no-gi combat. Training integrates diverse martial disciplines, including wrestling, judo, shooto, catch-as-catch-can, and submission locks, allowing students to build functional leverage against larger opponents. Academy coaching staff hold instructor credentials in Gracie Survival Tactics through an intensive five-day law enforcement certification program. Additional academy offerings include Muay Thai kickboxing, Jeet Kune Do, youth martial arts, and the Training For Warriors conditioning regimen.
