The facility originally began as American Top Team Sunrise before rebranding as MMA Science Academy in 2023. The academy was founded by striking coach Roger Krahl, a 5th-degree black belt in Kempo-MMA Blend with over 30 years of martial arts experience. He directs the school alongside BJJ & Grappling Head Coach Felipe Liborio, a 3rd degree Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt. Together, the coaching staff emphasizes science-based training methods and progressive curriculum development. Programs feature MMA Grappling consisting of wrestling, nogi jiu jitsu/grappling, and cage specific techniques. The academy provides structured Adult Programs from 13 years and up alongside Youth Programs from ages 4 to 12 years.
