Muncie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Muncie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu delivers grappling and martial arts instruction at 4709 North Wheeling Avenue in Muncie, Indiana. Operating as an affiliate of Barbosa Jiu Jitsu, the academy provides structured mat training for children, beginners, and competitive athletes. The school was founded in 2011 by head coach Max Burt, who received his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt in November 2013 from Tiago Alves and also holds a brown belt rank in judo. Burt previously instructed for three years at the Indiana Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy before establishing the Muncie training center. Class options include introductory fundamentals covering positional hierarchy and submissions, secondary fundamentals with expanded guard work and defense, invitation-only Advanced BJJ, competition rolling sessions, and private lessons. Youth programming serves children ages 6 to 13 with an emphasis on takedowns, discipline, and anti-bullying awareness. New students can explore the program with a complimentary seven-day training pass.
