National Martial Arts

National Martial Arts is located at 11829 S Portland Ave in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Founded in 2013, the family-owned academy serves as the headquarters of the National Jiu Jitsu Association and operates as an accredited military veteran partner facility providing training scholarships to combat veterans. The school is owned and directed by head instructor Professor Michael South, who has trained in martial arts since 2004 and holds a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Master Renato Tavares. South also holds black belts in Krav Maga, Hapkido, and Taekwondo, and is a Fight2Win Pro veteran. The instructional roster includes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belts John Hatfield and Sonny Smith, alongside women's coach Adelaide South and striking instructor Curtis Taylor. Curriculum options encompass Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for adults, teens, and children, combining gi technique, no-gi submission grappling, and defensive movement. The facility also provides adult Krav Maga self-defense classes, kids striking sessions, and specialized athlete yoga.
