No Coast Brazilian Jiu Jitsu provides ground fighting and combat sports instruction at 8104 Douglas Ave in Urbandale, Iowa. The academy serves students of all backgrounds and experience levels across Urbandale, West Des Moines, and surrounding communities in the Des Moines metropolitan area. The academy is owned and directed by Professor Jared Bahr, who has practiced martial arts and fitness for over 18 years, beginning his journey under the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program. The instructional team features BJJ black belt coach Ben Thelke, who began training in 2012 and joined the teaching staff in 2015, alongside coach Angela Bahr, Professor Gary Hillesheim, and kids program head coach Levi Parke. Class programs include adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, kids jiu-jitsu, women's Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Muay Thai kickboxing. Training emphasizes aerobic and anaerobic conditioning, defensive fundamentals, leverage, and positional control on the mats.
