Olympic Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Olympic Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is situated at 301 S Huntington St in Sulphur, Louisiana. Affiliated with the Inicio Jiu Jitsu Association, the academy delivers grappling instruction to students across Sulphur and the neighboring Lake Charles area. The school is owned and directed by head professor Tyler Scalisi, a black belt who co-founded the Inicio Jiu Jitsu Association alongside Erick Raposo. Scalisi has fourteen years of instructional experience and has earned rankings among the top ten lightweights in the IBJJF. Professor Ryan Charles, an MMA and jiu-jitsu competitor who earned his black belt under Scalisi in 2021, assists with class instruction. The curriculum features programs for all experience levels, including adult gi and no-gi jiu-jitsu, fundamentals, and women-only instruction. Youth training is organized into Tiny Ninjas and Little Ninjas age groups, while tailored instruction is provided through Law Enforcement Jiu Jitsu.
