Onyx Combat Sports

Onyx Combat Sports delivers mixed martial arts and grappling instruction at 4653 West Chester Pike in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. The facility provides striking, ground defense, and physical conditioning programs for youth and adult practitioners across Newtown Square and the Main Line region. The grappling program is directed by Head Jiu Jitsu Instructor Zach Green, a Gracie Humaita Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo black belt with over a decade of martial arts experience. Green is an active tournament competitor whose achievements include a 3-0 record as a Fight 2 Win superfight champion, 20 IBJJF tournament medals, and a USA Sambo National silver medal. Grappling instruction is supported by Jiu Jitsu black belt Kevin Meyers, who has been training since 1995. The striking roster features Muay Thai coaches Rick Rueda, Dylan Hewitt, and 3-time WKA North American champion John Nofer. Academy coursework includes Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in gi and no-gi formats, Muay Thai kickboxing, mixed martial arts, youth martial arts classes, and women's self-defense seminars.
