Ooltewah Jiu-Jitsu Academy

Ooltewah Jiu-Jitsu Academy provides martial arts education and leverage-based self-defense instruction at 6711 Mountain View Rd in Ooltewah, Tennessee. The modern training center serves youth and adult students throughout Collegedale, Ooltewah, and surrounding communities. The academy was founded by lead instructor Michael Lander, a four-stripe brown belt under Pedro Sauer and a Level Two Certified Instructor who brings over fourteen years of jiu-jitsu experience to the mats. The coaching staff also features assistant instructor Eric Town, a three-stripe brown belt under the Pedro Sauer Association, a Level One Certified Instructor, and a three-stripe black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Course programming encompasses Jiu Jitsu Fundamentals teaching core ground control, all-levels Jiu Jitsu focusing on practical defense without reliance on strength, technique drilling sessions to build muscle memory, Submission Wrestling blending multiple grappling styles, and Kids Classes for students ages 6 to 11.
