Parkside Jiujitsu

Parkside Jiu-Jitsu trains at 2455 Taraval Street in the Outer Sunset District of San Francisco, sharing space with The San Francisco Judo Institute. The facility provides martial arts training for neighborhood youth and adult practitioners interested in grappling arts. Instructor Mike Sedano, a San Francisco native raised in the Sunset District, began his journey in 2006 and received his black belt from Master Rigan Machado in 2019. Instructor Dante Giovannelli is also a San Francisco native and a twenty-six year veteran of the San Francisco Police Department, where he serves as a firearms instructor at the police shooting range. Giovannelli has trained in the city for more than twelve years and earned his black belt from Ralph Gracie in 2019. The training schedule features daily options covering Jiu-Jitsu and Judo sessions. Membership options are structured as unlimited training programs for both children and adult practitioners.
