Phoenix Martial Arts Academy

Phoenix Martial Arts Academy provides martial arts education and combat sports training at 9577 Osuna Road NE, Suite L, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Founded by head instructor Clinton Brewer, the school teaches Muteki Shoshin Karate-Jutsu, a hybrid system combining traditional striking with modern submission grappling. Head instructor Clinton Brewer began training in Jukido under Ivan Ujueta, studied Hayashi-Ha Shito-Ryu karate under seventh dan Luis Gonzales, holds advanced ranks in judo, and trained under Erik Paulson in Combat Submission Wrestling and Combat Submission Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The academy's curriculum unites traditional karate striking and forms with judo throws, catch wrestling takedowns, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ground fighting. Classes are organized by experience level and developmental age brackets. Early childhood training is provided through the Lil' Dragons program for ages 4 to 6, while youth ages 7 to 12 train in the Junior Warriors division with karate and youth jiu-jitsu. Teen and adult coursework for ages 13 and older features gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, karate, and Muteki MMA competition training.
