Pittman Jiu Jitsu operates at 2233 34th St in Lubbock, Texas. Established in 1993, the martial arts academy has provided leverage-based self-defense and martial arts education to students across Lubbock for more than three decades. Instruction at the academy is headed by Professor Pittman, a sixth-degree black belt who began training in martial arts at age six and earned an advanced rank under Carlos Machado. The instructional staff also features black belt instructor Mr. Preidis alongside head instructor Mr. Cambron, a military veteran who began training Brazilian jiu-jitsu while serving in the U.S. Army Infantry. The academy provides structured martial arts tracks for practitioners of all experience levels. Course offerings include Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for ages 4 to 8, Adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for ages 13 and older, Family Martial Arts for ages 4 and older, and Women's Self-Defense classes, focusing on ground control, positional dominance, and defensive awareness.
