Powell's Tae Kwon DO Center

Powell's Tae Kwon DO Center is a traditional Korean martial arts school located at 1441 A. Franquette Ave. in Concord, California. The dojang provides martial arts instruction, physical conditioning, and personal defense education for students and families across the Concord community. The school was established by Master Rick Powell, who serves as master instructor alongside Master Deon Gilmore, promoted to fourth dan in Taekwondo by Master Powell in 2004, Master William Lee, and Master Amy Powell. The school's traditional lineage traces through Grandmaster Ri Kon Ko and the Changmoo Kwan tradition founded by Grandmaster Byung-In Yoon. Instruction is divided across dedicated age brackets and experience levels. Programs include children classes for ages 5 to 12, adult training for students ages 18 and older, traditional Taekwondo forms, Kumdo sword practice, red and black belt sessions, and grappling instruction in a disciplined dojo environment.
