Pride Lands MMA Academy

Pride Lands MMA Academy is a combat sports and martial arts training center located at 731 Cedar Ave in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Established and led by owner and founder Jason Ratchford, the academy provides structured instruction across jiu-jitsu, striking disciplines, and mixed martial arts. Founder Jason Ratchford holds a third-degree black belt in jiu-jitsu under Renzo Gracie and a first-degree black belt in judo under Fred Murty. The coaching staff features seasoned practitioners, including head instructor Nevin Langan, boxing coach Mike Baresse, and kickboxing instructor Ryan Marcinkevich, providing technical guidance on the training mats. The gym schedule offers programs tailored for adults and youth, including co-ed grappling, women-only jiu-jitsu, striking classes, and Little Lions youth training.
