Process Over Prize Academy operates at 11 Hope Road, Suite 207 in Stafford, Virginia. The veteran-owned martial arts academy was founded by Martin Thomas alongside co-owner Rina Thomas. Founder and owner Martin Thomas is an active-duty military service member with over 20 years of combat sports experience, who was promoted to black belt by Professor Fredson Paixao in December of 2020 after training in Jiu Jitsu for 12 years. Co-owner Rina Thomas is a Marine veteran, certified fitness trainer, and nutrition coach who helps direct the academy’s conditioning and wellness initiatives. The academy’s training philosophy emphasizes the routine and discipline of daily improvement over tournament accolades, supporting practitioners ranging from complete beginners to experienced martial artists. Training programs provide structured instruction for kids and adults, with options for group classes and private lesson instruction. Class sessions run Monday through Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., along with Saturday sessions from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interested students can register for classes through the academy website.
