Ralph Gracie Berkeley Jiu Jitsu Academy

Ralph Gracie Berkeley Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy is located at 1500 Ashby Ave in Berkeley, California. Founded in 2005, the academy operates as part of the Ralph Gracie association, providing martial arts instruction to practitioners in Berkeley. The academy is led by fifth-degree black belt Eduardo Fraga, who began training at age six and received his black belt at age twenty-two. Fraga developed his grappling in São Paulo under Ryan Gracie, competed in professional vale tudo from 1995 to 1997, and became a ten-time medalist at the IBJJF Pan American championships before moving to the US in 2008 to join the Ralph Gracie team. Programs at the academy include Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for adults of all experience levels, standalone Judo training, and structured kids jiu-jitsu classes emphasizing discipline, coordination, and technical fundamentals.
