Renzo Gracie Colorado East BJJ operates at 4680 Edison Ave A in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Representing the global Renzo Gracie lineage, the academy provides Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coaching, tactical ground grappling, and self-defense education for practitioners across the Colorado Springs region. Instruction is directed by head instructor Professor Jeff Dasalla, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, Army veteran, and former combatives trainer. The school is co-owned by brown belt and former law enforcement officer Doris Rivera-Black alongside her husband Kevin. The coaching team includes brown belt instructors Tyler Massey and Carlos Castro with purple belt coach Cynthia Rodriguez. Training stresses leverage, positional escapes, partner safety, and technical control. The academy provides training programs suitable for both beginner and experienced martial artists. Offerings include gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes, live sparring, open mat sessions, and monthly women-only self-defense workshops. Prospective members can take advantage of a complimentary introductory trial class.
