Rodrigo Gracie Jiu-jitsu

Rodrigo Gracie Jiu-Jitsu operates at 2849 Pacific Coast Highway in Torrance, California. The martial arts academy is headed by Professor Rodrigo Gracie, a 7th degree coral belt, ADCC champion, and veteran mixed martial artist who competed extensively in Pride FC. Having trained since early childhood under Grandmaster Reylson Gracie and Carlos Gracie Jr., he brings over four decades of grappling experience. The academy provides structured Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction tailored for beginners, hobbyists, and advanced tournament practitioners. Classes focus on positional leverage, defensive escapes, guard passing systems, joint manipulations, and chokes. Training sessions combine technical demonstrations, partner drilling repetitions, and controlled mat sparring to develop situational awareness. Youth classes feature age-bracketed programs for children ages three to five, six to eight, and nine to fourteen, as well as a dedicated teens division. Instruction fosters physical balance, anti-bullying confidence, motor skills, and mutual respect among students. Classes run throughout the week at the Pacific Coast Highway dojo in Torrance.
