Romulus Jiu Jitsu operates as a submission grappling academy and martial arts laboratory at 8808 7th Ave N in Golden Valley, Minnesota. Serving grapplers across Minneapolis and the Twin Cities, the academy specializes in no-gi submission grappling and American Jiu-Jitsu, delivering technical instruction for students of all ages and athletic backgrounds. The academy's instructional program is headed by Coach Keir Gellatly, an accomplished submission grappling scholar whose lineage spans white belt under Cris Johnson at Apex Jiu Jitsu, blue belt under Nate Kleinfeld at Next Level Combat, purple belt under Anthony Birchak at 10th Planet Tucson, and brown belt under Matt Salinas at 10th Planet Mission Viejo. Coaching emphasizes modern grappling innovations, biomechanical efficiency, and a dedicated team culture. The Fuji-sponsored facility is equipped with a gymnastic spring floor system beneath the entire mat space, CJI pit walls, daily sanitization protocols, and on-site shower amenities.
