Ronaldo Candido Academy Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu delivers traditional and submission grappling instruction at 22002 Novi Road in Novi, Michigan. The 3,000-square-foot training academy was recognized in 2020 with the Best Business Customer Excellence award presented by the City of Novi. The academy was established by head instructor Ronaldo Candido, a third-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt certified by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation. Candido is an eight-time State Champion, two-time Pan-American Champion, and three-time World Champion who competed on The Ultimate Fighter Season 24 and served as jiu-jitsu coach on The Ultimate Fighter Season 23. Course offerings include fundamentals gi jiu-jitsu, no-gi jiu-jitsu, judo throws and groundwork, drills and question-and-answer classes, and open mat training. Youth instruction is delivered through a program that has produced five-time IBJJF Pan Kids championship teams, featuring Junior Jiu-Jiteiros for ages 5 to 8 and Youth Jiu-Jiteiros for ages 9 to 13.
