Santa Monica Striking is a combat sports gym located at 316 Pico Boulevard in Santa Monica, California. Founded by professional fighters Lance Dixon and Dean Rosenwald, the academy specializes in Muay Thai, traditional boxing, kickboxing fitness, and No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for beginners as well as active ring fighters. Co-founder Lance Dixon has trained under Kru David Huerta since 2012, capturing IAMTF U.S. and California Welterweight titles and the IKF SoCal Super Welterweight Championship. Co-founder Dean Rosenwald began training in 2009, competing at Thaphae Stadium in Thailand and studying the Cambodian martial art of Bokator under Grandmaster San Kim Sean. The schedule offers all-levels Muay Thai, Boxing combinations, and conditioning circuits, alongside designated youth Muay Thai classes, women-only striking sessions, and weekend No-Gi BJJ classes. Coached by experienced instructors including Coach Claudio and Coach Norberto Miranda, students refine eight-limbs striking, clinching, and ring defense.
