Savannah Martial Arts

Savannah Martial Arts operates at 12419 White Bluff Rd in Savannah, Georgia. Serving local students and families, the facility delivers training across Tang Soo Do, karate, Krav Maga, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Program options range from Lil' Ninjas for early childhood students to junior karate, adult martial arts, and Special Kicks. The academy is owned by master instructor Carson Fortner, who began training in 1994 under Charles Prescott in Sylvania, Georgia. Fortner earned black belt ranks through the American Tang Soo Do Alliance, attaining 4th degree master status in 2014 and testing for his 5th degree black belt in 2019. Head instructor Gabriel Deines holds a third-degree black belt in American Tang Soo Do, working alongside program director Melissa Lopez. Instruction focuses on traditional forms, striking mechanics, self-defense responses, sparring drills, and ground grappling principles.
