Savarese Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy

Savarese Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy is a martial arts school located at 40 Park Ave. in Lyndhurst, New Jersey. The academy serves students throughout Lyndhurst and Bergen County, offering instruction in traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and submission grappling. The academy was founded and is led by Professor Chris Savarese, a 4th-degree black belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu who earned his black belt directly from Royler Gracie. Savarese is an active member of the Rafael Lovato BJJ competition team and has served as a referee, competitor, and matchmaker for major combat sports organizations including Sport Fighting and Grapplers Quest. Instruction follows the original Gracie Academy curriculum from Brazil and covers New Jersey Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes, submission grappling, and self-defense and mixed martial arts training. The school also provides dedicated women's self-defense courses and youth instruction focused on practical defensive technique and personal discipline.
