Scranton MMA

Scranton MMA is located at 1000 Dunham Dr Suite C in Dunmore, Pennsylvania. Originating in 1997 when the Brunetti brothers established a regional Gracie Jiu-Jitsu training center following study with the Gracie family, the facility opened its full-time martial arts location in 2006. The instructional team is led by primary owner Steven Polito, an experienced practitioner who teaches jiu-jitsu, mixed martial arts, judo, and Muay Thai, alongside jiu-jitsu instructor Dr. Steven Brunetti. Coaches emphasize technical accuracy, leverage distribution, and controlled drilling to allow smaller practitioners to defend effectively against larger opponents. Instructional programs at the Dunmore facility include Beginner Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu built around a rotational curriculum that allows students to start at any point. Additional class offerings include Muay Thai striking, judo classes, adult self-defense, kids' self-defense, and mixed martial arts training.
