Sharkbait’s MMA & Jiu Jitsu Academy

Sharkbait's MMA & Jiu Jitsu Academy operates at 16100 Round Tripper Dr in Kansas City, Missouri. The combat sports and grappling facility provides instruction in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, mixed martial arts, and kickboxing, serving children, teenagers, and adult athletes from the surrounding Parkville and Kansas City communities. The academy is led by owner and head coach Anthony "Sharkbait" Gutierrez, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt and veteran mixed martial arts fighter with a professional record of 13-3. The grappling program is supported by gi coach Anthony Bell, a first-degree black belt under Renato Tavares and multi-time IBJJF International Open champion, along with jiu-jitsu coach Landon Heriford. Training schedules accommodate both morning and evening practitioners. Grappling offerings feature Jiu Jitsu Fundamentals, advanced gi Jiu Jitsu, No Gi Jiu Jitsu, and Saturday Open Mat sessions. Youth students train through targeted Kids Jiu Jitsu and Kids MMA classes designed to teach discipline, body awareness, and self-defense skills.
