Located at 4410 E. Grant Rd in Tucson, Arizona, Sonoran BJJ provides Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and submission grappling instruction across a 1,500-square-foot mat facility. Founded in 2018 as an affiliate of Marcelo Garcia, the academy delivers structured training for recreation, self-defense, and tournament competition. The academy is owned and directed by head instructor Aaron, who received his black belt in 2017 from Martin Escobar under the Carlson Gracie lineage. The coaching roster also features black belt coach and operations manager Christian Wilson, black belt coach Morgan Holland, women's coach Gabriela, and youth program lead Cody Riggs. Class programming includes all-levels gi and no-gi jiu-jitsu, advanced competition team training, and a structured youth curriculum for children ages 7 through 12. The academy hosts a free introductory jiu-jitsu session on the first Saturday of each month alongside trial options for new students.
