St. Paul Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy delivers ground fighting instruction and personal self-defense training at 322 Chester St in St. Paul, Minnesota. The academy conducts classes for beginning students, experienced martial artists, and youth practitioners across the Minneapolis and St. Paul metropolitan area. Head coach Brandon Bergeron began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey in April 2007, following seven years of scholastic wrestling. Bergeron received his BJJ black belt in January 2017 from Greg Nelson and compiled a professional MMA record of 14 wins and 3 losses, primarily finishing opponents via submission. He earned a degree in Law Enforcement in 2014 and previously served as a police officer and security professional, applying tactical control principles directly to mat instruction. Course offerings include BJJ foundations, all-levels jiu-jitsu, self-defense classes, and kids martial arts programs. Instruction emphasizes positional control, takedowns, and practical defense maneuvers, with free introductory lessons available.
