Stoic Martial Arts

Stoic Martial Arts is located at 1455 Park Road in Chanhassen, Minnesota. The training facility is directed by head coach Mason McClellan, who received his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt in 2017 under Alliance. McClellan brings over thirty years of martial arts experience across submission grappling, mixed martial arts, and Muay Thai, with formative training alongside notable coaches including Greg Nelson, Tom Schmitz, and Damian Hirtz. The academy provides training across diverse combat sports. Adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes feature both gi and no-gi sessions focusing on positional control, guard retention, escapes, and submissions. Striking instruction includes boxing with an emphasis on ring footwork and angles, alongside traditional Muay Thai focusing on the eight limbs. Additional options include mixed martial arts training, a ladies self-defense program, kids jiu-jitsu for second through sixth graders, and a kids ninja program for ages five through ten. Coaches provide attentive guidance tailored for beginners building baseline skills as well as seasoned athletes refining technical nuance.
