Straight Blast Gym of Bend

Straight Blast Gym of Bend operates at 550 NW Franklin Ave Suite 338 in Bend, Oregon. As a member of the international Straight Blast Gym organization, the academy delivers functional martial arts coaching emphasizing alive drilling, pressure testing, and technical understanding. Instruction is spearheaded by Coach Chris, an experienced practitioner who has trained under SBG founder Matt Thornton since 2002. Chris utilizes the foundational SBG training progression method, guiding students through introduction, isolation drilling, and live integration against resisting training partners. The coaching staff also includes judo fourth-degree black belt Coach Neil, alongside Coach Stefani who directs youth leadership and operations. Course offerings feature Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes for beginners and advanced grapplers, Children's Classes divided into age brackets for 3 to 5 year olds, 5 to 7 year olds, 7 to 10 year olds, 10 to 12 year olds, and teens, complemented by Muay Thai kickboxing, boxing, wrestling, judo, and women's only training.
