Superhero Jiu Jitsu Academy

Superhero Jiu Jitsu Academy operates at 1485 Mohawk Blvd in Springfield, Oregon. Founded in 2014 by Mike DeWitt, the martial arts facility features 2,000 square feet of mat space across two training rooms with Zebra mats, serving practitioners from Springfield and Eugene. Instruction is headed by Mike DeWitt Jr., a third-degree black belt under Eddie Bravo and a four-time Submission Underground winner who also earned the 2012 Gracie Worlds Advanced title. The coaching staff includes adult instructors Zach Borrelli, Kevin Boehm, and Sarah Gabby Keim, alongside kids instructors Ashley, Eli, and Jared. Training focuses on no-gi grappling mechanics, wrestling takedowns, guard transitions, and submission control. The academy provides structured classes for students of diverse ages. Youth programs feature classes for kids ages 4 to 10 and teens ages 11 to 16. Adult programs incorporate no-gi Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, mixed martial arts, and striking classes designed to build practical grappling performance and athletic conditioning.
