Team Jucao Long Island City Jiu Jitsu is situated at 47-46 Vernon Boulevard on the Third Floor, with entrance on 48th Avenue in Long Island City, NY 11101. Serving the Hunter’s Point community of Queens since 2017, the academy provides jiu-jitsu training for youth and adults. Instruction is provided by Professor Chad Smith, a third degree black belt under Professor Ailson “Jucão” Brites. Tracing academy lineage through Carlos Gracie Jr. to Carlos Gracie Sr. and Mitsuyo Maeda, Professor Chad has been instructing children in jiu jitsu since 2012. Weekly classes include Kids All Levels on Wednesday and Friday, Advanced Kids on Saturday, and adult sessions across Gi and No-Gi formats. Membership rates are $195 per month for kids and $215 per month for adults, with each membership including a free uniform. The academy extends a 25% discount to service personnel and a 10% discount for additional family members.
