The Academy is located at 18 Ashmont Street in Portland, Maine 04103. Founded in 2003 by Jay Jack and Amanda Buckner, the facility provides instruction in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, MMA, and Muay Thai. Co-owner Jay Jack received his black belt in Jiu-Jitsu from Amal in 2006, while co-owner Amanda Buckner earned her black belt from Amal Easton in 2009. The instructional team includes black belt coaches Paul Gorman, Beau DeCourcy, Matthew Frahm, and Shaun Durfee, alongside brown belt Arthur Haines and Muay Thai instructor Brandon Clark. The weekly training schedule spans seven days a week from Monday through Sunday. Course offerings include All Levels BJJ in both gi and no gi, Basic BJJ, Advanced BJJ, Live BJJ Training, MMA sparring, and Muay Thai striking classes.
