The Academy of Jiu-Jitsu

The Academy of Jiu-Jitsu is a martial arts school located at 953 Fischer Boulevard in Toms River, NJ. Situated ten minutes from Exit 82 on the Garden State Parkway, the facility features a 3,000-square-foot training area equipped with heavy bags on a trolley rack and locker rooms. Originally established as Madama Jiu-Jitsu, ownership was assumed in 2019 by Professor Jim, a technical grappler with over 25 years of martial arts experience who specializes in grappling fundamentals and old-school techniques. The coaching team provides structured instruction in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, no-gi grappling, and kickboxing for both adult practitioners and young students. The academy offers morning and evening classes divided into fundamentals, all-levels instruction, advanced blue belt or higher sessions, and open mat sparring. Specialized offerings include a youth martial arts curriculum five days per week, a dedicated program for law enforcement officers, and introductory trial classes.
