The Cellar Gym

The Cellar Gym is a combat sports and fitness center located at 2480 Fairview Avenue N, Suite 11, in Roseville, Minnesota. Established in 2002 in the basement of a convenience store, the gym has expanded multiple times over more than two decades to become a 13,500-square-foot multi-discipline training facility serving the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area. The academy is owned and operated by Ben and Katie Locken. Ben holds black belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai and coaches Team USA Kickboxing, while Katie is a fourth-degree karate black belt, BJJ purple belt, and Kru in Muay Thai. The facility houses four training floors, a full-size boxing ring, an MMA cage, and over forty heavy bags, delivering instruction in Muay Thai, BJJ, mixed martial arts, fitness kickboxing, youth martial arts for ages 3 to 17, and boxing for Parkinson's. Classes operate Monday through Saturday with extensive morning, noon, and evening schedules. Prospective students can register online for a one-week trial pass to explore the full facility and curriculum.
