The Mount BJJ & MMA - Ijamsville/Urbana

The Mount BJJ operates facilities at 9639 Dr Perry Rd in Ijamsville, MD 21754 and 1502 S Main St #204 in Mt Airy, MD 21771. The family-owned academy serves students from Mount Airy, Urbana, Ijamsville, New Market, and surrounding Frederick County communities. Students can contact the school by calling (301) 885-7609. Jim Herman serves as Owner and Head Instructor. He is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, certified Level 1 and Level 2 Gracie Jiu-Jitsu instructor, and former defense tactics instructor for the Montgomery County Police Department. The coaching staff also includes Head Instructor Amad Jones, Head Instructor Laura Eyler, Head Instructor Guto Santos, and Judo Instructor Sensei Mike Lathwood. Programs at the academy include Adult BJJ, Adults MMA, Judo, Kids BJJ, Women's BJJ, Kids MMA, and Boxing Classes.
