Ares BJJ Sanford is located at 2540 Lee Ave. in Sanford, North Carolina. Established in 2018 by Brad Morris, the academy serves students and families throughout Sanford, Linden Oaks, and Tramway. Instruction features Professor Brad Morris, who teaches as an MMA coach and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, holding athletic achievements including a silver medal at the Judo Nationals. The adult program provides instruction in both traditional gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and competition training. Classes emphasize fundamental grappling mechanics, takedowns, guard retention, and submissions. Students engage in structured drilling, technical review, and situational training to prepare for self-defense and tournament participation. The academy also schedules open mat sessions on weekends. Youth development features dedicated programs divided by age and experience level, including Little Champs BJJ and Big Kids BJJ taught in no-gi formats. The children's curriculum focuses on developing body coordination, physical fitness, focus, and self-discipline through games and partner grappling drills under certified instructors.
