Bakersfield Brazilian Jiu Jitsu serves as the TRUJITSU headquarters across two facilities in Bakersfield, California, located on Resnik Court and Coffee Rd. The academy provides martial arts instruction for men, women, and children pursuing recreational, competitive, or self-improvement goals. The school was founded by Matt Baker, a black belt directly under Jean Jacques Machado of the Machado brothers lineage. Over two decades of active competition, Baker has won more than 30 championships, including IBJJF No Gi Worlds and Gracie Worlds titles, developing the TRUJITSU system to emphasize leverage and efficiency over strength. Programs include adult co-ed training, kids competition classes, and dedicated women-only jiu-jitsu classes taught by IBJJF certified female coaches. Members can train daily across both locations. Prospective students can call or stop by to receive a free trial guest pass.
