Ultimate Martial Arts by GM Chris Rangel delivers combat sports instruction and defensive tactics training at 601 SE 36th Street, Suite 109 in Newton, Kansas. Founded in 1994, the academy conducts classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, TaeKwonDo, mixed martial arts, and Modern Arnis, serving Newton, Wichita, Hesston, Valley Center, and Halstead. Academy founder Grand Master Chris Rangel brings over fifty years of martial arts experience, holding a ninth-degree black belt in ITF TaeKwonDo and a ninth-degree black belt in Presas Modern Arnis. A former competitor for Team USA and the All Armed Forces sports program, Rangel serves as the GAMMA USA Regional Director and holds an International Kickboxing coach credential from the IOC. Instructional staff includes seventh-degree TaeKwonDo black belt Master Tony Farnan, assistant fitness instructor Josh Weiser, and youth program manager Shawn Baker. Class options encompass Adult and Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, TaeKwonDo, Kid-Cagers mixed martial arts, K-1 Kickboxing, and Modern Arnis stick fighting, accompanied by complimentary trial passes and training gloves.
