UPRISE MMA

UPRISE MMA is a combat sports training center in Los Angeles, California, providing instruction in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and mixed martial arts. Established in 2008 under Way of the Warrior Training, the academy operates under the philosophy that practitioners do not have to be fighters to train like one. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes emphasize foundational guard work and ground control, with advanced instruction led by black belt instructor Professor Gustavo Gasperin. Striking classes cover punches, kicks, knees, and elbows, while owner Pete Panos oversees conditioning programming designed to build core stability and muscular endurance. The curriculum accommodates students of all experience levels alongside an invitation-only competitive team. Training incorporates pad work, drills, and sparring in a clean, safe environment. New students can take advantage of a free week of training to begin.
