Vianna Brothers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy

Vianna Brothers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy delivers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and grappling education at 2128 North Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. Serving the Bucktown, Wicker Park, and Logan Square communities, the academy provides technical martial arts training for youth, beginners, and advanced competitors. The academy is owned and directed by head instructor Daniel Vianna, a sixth-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with over three decades of martial arts experience and over twenty years as a black belt. Beginning his training at age eight under Rolls Gracie in Rio de Janeiro, Coach Vianna studied judo under Virgilio Castro de Moura, trained under Carlson Gracie Jr. and Marcelo Alonso, and helped establish Chicago's first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu school in 1995 while competing in professional mixed martial arts. The instructional team also features third-degree Atos black belt Evan Mannweiler alongside instructors Paul Do, Izzy Avi, Eden Berg, and Joe Dankowski. Course offerings feature adult gi and no-gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, positional fundamentals, advanced competition training, and youth martial arts classes led by coaches Albert Gorev and Mike Demopoulos.
