Vortex Jiu Jitsu operates at 1529 16th Street NW, Washington DC, 20036, located inside the Edlavitch Jewish Community Center. The training academy provides martial arts classes for practitioners in Washington, DC. Training is guided by Kelly Quinn, who serves as head coach and holds the rank of Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt under Professor Nakapan Phungephorn of BETA Academy. The instructional team also features Robert Cowles, Beau Doerr, who is a blue belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu, and Joy Lee “Southwest” McMullen. Class programs include Intro to Jiu Jitsu, Gi Jiu Jitsu, and No Gi Jiu Jitsu, alongside All Levels Jiu Jitsu. Youth instruction is provided through Kids Jiu Jitsu for children aged six through fourteen. Facility amenities include in house locker rooms and showers.
