WDC Jiu Jitsu and Fitness Academy

WDC Jiu Jitsu and Fitness Academy operates from 720 Erie Avenue in Takoma Park, Maryland. Established in 2015, the academy serves as a regional training headquarters affiliated with GFTeam. The program is directed by head instructor Professor Deivid Dias, alongside a team of instructors and coaches who emphasize structured technique, mat discipline, and personal growth for practitioners of all backgrounds. The academy organizes progressive martial arts curriculums tailored for diverse age groups and skill levels. Children ages four through six participate in the Little Grapplers program to develop basic movement patterns, coordination, and athletic confidence. Youth and teen classes provide practical ground self-defense, positional mechanics, and anti-bullying skills for ages seven through twelve and adolescents. Adult training features distinct tracks in fundamentals and advanced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, encompassing positional control, guard passes, and submission holds. Members can prepare for sport grappling tournaments or train for everyday self-defense and physical fitness. The coaching staff maintains an encouraging and focused training environment on the mats.
